The invasion of Libya has more to do with her being an African country and weaker than other Middle Eastern couuntries like Egypt, Yemen and the Gulf States. Ofcourse France has one and a half centiries'experience in the turture of the Africans and their exploitation just like the British and that could probably be part of the motivation. I suspect the scramble for Africa in the 19th Century and the consequencial benefit has not been forgoten and Zakosi with little knowledge of wyhat went on between the two rival in the exploitation, France and the Brtish, he believes there are still enough in his domain to give the booster in his depressing polirical popularity in his bid to win another election. The appetite for equal access to Libyan oil is, ofcourse, another consideration. They both do'nt think any sensible African will buy their propaganda themem that Europearns (and Americans) are in Libya to protect Africans from Africans. They want them all dead to have free access to the riches of that continent.
