Assassin's Creed II offline server emulator doesn't work anymore?

basically i got the 0.4 version and it has served me well so far, but today when i tried to run the offline server, it just flashes on the screen and then disappears. I stress it used to work really well until today, I'm suspected is an issue with my computer, anyone else have an opinion? also, when i tried to "run" "ipconfig /flushdns", the same thing happens (a cmd-like window appears but just disappears soon after), but i can do the ipconfig by using the actual cmd, used to work with run as well.
